Internship-5/24/16-Today I went to the apiary and did maintenance. I checked to see that there was enough sugar water for the bees so that they will not starve. We give the bees Sugar water because incredibly bees are able to intake the sugar water and create Honey, Wax, and all the other things they need to survive. Beekeepers are known to give sugar water to their bees during wintering and when they seem like they need a little help. I also took a lawnmower and cut the grass in the apiary. While mowing the lawn I had my hair up and a bee flew into my hair and got stuck, she then decided to crawl further into my hair and stung my head. I learned that getting stung on the head is way more painful than the limbs.
